National Audit Office completes audit of preliminary agreement between NT Valdos and the Karalienė Morta School
The supreme audit institution completed a public audit of the terms and execution of the preliminary agreement between the Lietuvos Energija-owned enterprise NT Valdos and the Karalienė Morta School. The public audit was assigned to the NAO for completion by 1 June based on an express resolution issued by the Seimas.
Public auditors issued recommendations to Lietuvos Energija and systemic proposals to the Government. The systemic insights are expected to be useful in ensuring that the activity of state-owned enterprises is as effective as possible and that managed property produces the largest return for the state. The Seimas Committee on Audit was also notified about the results of the audit.
The systemic issues and risks identified during the audit will continue to be assessed in the systemic performance audits on "Return Produced by State-Owned Enterprises" and "Internal Control in the Public Sector", and as part of a strategic study on the management of public property.
