Representatives of the National Audit Office at today's meeting with the members of the Lithuanian Association for Quality Management and Innovation presented the best practices applied in the institution in the management of operational processes, emerging risks and implementation of the institution's strategy.
Applying international standards to its activities, the National Audit Office shared its experience in the separation of responsibilities both between structural units and between positions; the definition of roles and processes; and the separation of policy formulation, implementation and evaluation processes.
Although the National Audit Office is no longer part of the civil service since 2021, it does carry out the typical activities of a public sector organisation in its operational processes. The institution continuously improves its activities in line with best practice recommendations and proposes necessary changes and practices in the public sector by assessing public sector accountability and performance.
